About the Position

With a focus on various common themes, children at Glommagården are drawn to playful learning and exploration. Our age-mixed groups consist of children between 1 and 5 years old. Here, we create hope for the future and secure, sustainable relationships where children, in a playful manner, acquire new knowledge by exploring, experimenting, and collaborating.

We work with language, natural sciences, creativity, music, mathematics, and movement in various projects based on children's interests, with the primary focus on language, communication, and accessible education. Together with other pedagogues, you will work to create meaningful contexts where children speculate, investigate, solve problems, and communicate together.

We are looking for a colleague who wants to contribute to development with a focus on the child's perspective within a stable team with extensive experience. Close collaboration is important to us, and we collaborate extensively across departmental boundaries as we see ourselves as a whole, creating a learning and developing environment together.

Examples of Duties:

• Lead, organize, plan, implement, and develop teaching.
• Ensure that education is documented, followed up, analyzed, and developed.
• Contribute, individually and together with other pedagogues, to a reflective culture with great curiosity about children and their abilities.
• Work with project-based learning where children have the opportunity to meet in smaller groups for dialogue, exploration, and relationship building.
• Introduce and continuously allow children to use various forms of expression in their exploration and play.
• Create an inspiring and rich environment with creative materials for play and learning both indoors and outdoors.
• Use documentation and reflection as tools to drive exploration together with children and to make children's learning visible at both group and individual levels.

About the Workplace

Glommagården Preschool has four departments with space for approximately 70 children aged 1–5 years. We have an on-site kitchen with a chef who prepares meals daily. The preschool is located in a quiet environment with access to a spacious yard that invites physical activity and play, as well as the Sommarroskogen forest right next door.

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, approximately 4,530 employees work. We meet young people in Örebro from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in their role with a good understanding of how children acquire knowledge under different conditions. You take responsibility for and are active in teaching and pedagogical development at the preschool, understanding your role well and taking overall responsibility. We see that you easily come up with new ideas and have an innovative mindset that can be implemented in the operations.

It is important that you, through good collaboration with children, colleagues, and parents, as well as through an organized working method, can handle the changes that occur daily and on a larger scale at the preschool. Furthermore, you must master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, and be able to document what the operations require in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

• Licensed preschool teacher with a great ability to organize and drive pedagogical work with high quality and good treatment.

Additional Information

A preschool teacher license must be attached to the application together with a list of qualifications, or alternatively a degree certificate that entitles you to a license.
