We are looking for someone who wants to work as a teacher in a team at Västra Engelbrekt School! Together with colleagues in the team, student health, and school management, we work to ensure that every student develops as far as possible!

About the position

You will work with teaching textile handicrafts for students in grades 3-9. You will be part of a team where you collectively contribute to the development of the team by actively participating in conferences and the group's professional development. It is important to us that you have knowledge of and are interested in developing teaching. You will be part of a K-9 school, and for the right person, there are good opportunities for various types of development opportunities.

Examples of tasks:

• plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the subjects you are responsible for
• use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible achievement of goals
• exercise mentorship/perform class teacher duties
• work together with the team and other staff at the school

About the workplace

Västra Engelbrekt School is an intercultural K-9 school in the western district. The staff group has a great commitment and a strong willingness to collaborate and develop the operations. The school has dance and football profiles. Having students from preschool to grade 9 allows us to follow a student's development and learning from the age of 6 to 15.

Västra Engelbrekt School is an intrapreneurship, which means a form of greater freedom and responsibility regarding finances, budgets, and personnel issues. We are currently in an exciting development process regarding the Swedish as a second language subject combined with language development work. We are also continuing to develop our various forms of collaboration to create accessible education for all our students at Västra Engelbrekt School.

Qualifications

As a teacher, it is important that you have good collaboration skills where you listen and communicate, as well as contribute to a calm and safe school environment. You should also have knowledge of child development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group's and individual students' needs and conditions.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• teaching certification with authorization to teach textile handicrafts for grades 3-9, or an equivalent qualifying degree that entitles you to certification

Meritorious:

• multiple subject authorizations for grades 3-9
• previous experience of teaching in primary school
