We are looking for someone who wants to work as a teacher in a team at Västra Engelbrekt School! Together with colleagues in the team, student health, and school management, we work to ensure that every student develops as far as possible!

About the position

You will work with teaching in home economics for students in grades 6-9. You will be part of a team where you will contribute to the development of the team by actively participating in conferences and the group's professional development. It is important to us that you have knowledge of and are interested in developing teaching. You will be part of a K-9 school, and for the right person, there are good opportunities for various types of development.

Examples of tasks:

• plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the subjects you are responsible for
• use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal fulfillment
• provide mentorship/perform class teacher duties
• work together with the team and other staff at the school

About the workplace

Västra Engelbrekt School is an intercultural K-9 school in the western district. The staff group has a strong commitment and a great willingness to collaborate and develop the operations. The school has a dance and football profile. Having students from preschool to grade 9 makes it possible to follow a student's development and learning from the age of 6 to 15.

Västra Engelbrekt School is an intrapreneurship, which means a form of greater freedom and responsibility regarding finances, budgets, and personnel matters. We are currently in an exciting development process regarding the SVA subject combined with a language development project. We are also continuing to develop our various forms of collaboration to create accessible education for all our students at Västra Engelbrekt School.

Qualifications

As a teacher, it is important that you have good collaboration skills where you listen and communicate and contribute to a calm and safe school environment. You should also have knowledge of children's development and learning as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group's and individual students' needs and conditions.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• teacher certification with authorization to teach home economics for grades 6-9, or an equivalent qualifying degree that entitles you to certification

Meritorious:

• multiple subject authorizations for grades 6-9
• previous experience of teaching in primary school
