Teacher – Crafts and Art (Years 4–6)

Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) Örebro is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Crafts and Art teacher for grades 4–6. This is a 100% substitute position for the 2026/2027 school year, starting in August 2026. Join our vibrant and international team and make a difference in students’ learning and development.

About the Position

As a Crafts and Art teacher at IES Örebro, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons that engage and motivate students. You will work in an international environment where both English and Swedish are used as languages of instruction and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Crafts and Art to students in grades 4–6 in accordance with the Swedish curriculum.
• Create a positive, structured, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and active participation among students.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and parents to support each student’s academic and personal development.
• Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.

Qualifications

• Certified teaching qualification.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Previous experience teaching Crafts and Art in a school setting is highly valued.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to the IES ethos of “tough love”—creating a calm, safe, and orderly learning environment.
