IF Metall is currently seeking a service-oriented administrator for the Mälardalen department, based in Västerås. The position is a permanent, full-time role. Start date is negotiable. The application deadline is April 30, 2026, but selection may occur on an ongoing basis. We welcome your application!
Responsibilities
Your main tasks will involve collaborating with other administrators, union representatives, and the department board to carry out duties related to union activities. As an administrator, you will also independently manage various administrative tasks. You will be required to work on-site in our pleasant offices to provide service to our members. Duties include member contact, communication with employers and elected representatives, as well as internal work such as member administration, financial management, and other administrative tasks at the department office.
Qualifications
As an administrator, you should have good knowledge of member and agreement management and enjoy providing service, both internally and externally. You must have strong computer skills and proficiency in the Office suite. You should be service-oriented, self-reliant, and possess well-developed administrative skills. The ability to independently prioritize your work based on the organization's goals is essential. It is necessary that you share the values of the labor movement.
Required qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Experience working as an administrator in a similar role
- Strong administrative skills
- Basic English proficiency
Meritorious qualifications:
- Experience working in a non-profit organization
- Experience in a service profession
- Experience working with insurance
- Experience with Microsoft CRM
- Experience with migration cases
- Good English skills
- Other language skills
- Financial management
Additional Information
Start date is negotiable. Salary and employment terms are according to the collective agreement between AFO and the Union of Commercial Employees.
