Job Description

We are seeking a research assistant for the research project Transnational Actors in International Organizations: Conditions for Influence. The project investigates the extent and conditions under which transnational actors (e.g., environmental organizations, trade unions, and human rights groups) exert influence in international organizations. The project is funded by the Swedish Research Council and is conducted by researchers at Gothenburg University and Stockholm University.

Your main tasks will be to collect decision documents from international organizations and statements from transnational actors, and to prepare these documents for quantitative text analysis. Additional tasks, such as simpler text analyses, may be added depending on needs. The work will be carried out at Stockholm University.

Qualifications

You must have at least a Master's degree or be about to complete a Master's program in political science or a related field, as well as very good English skills. You should have experience with quantitative text analysis and the collection of extensive empirical material, and be well-versed in political science literature on international organizations and/or transnational actors.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

About the Employment

The position is full-time and fixed-term for six months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
