We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the new social services where there is a strong focus on parenting and family support work. The family-oriented approach is central, and the needs of the citizen are in focus, which means that it should be easy to seek and receive help. Family service works with parenting support and targets parents and families with children aged 0-20 years. We offer individual parent conversations, family conversations, and various types of group activities aimed at parents and children.

Family service is a workplace characterized by great joy at work and strong commitment. You will be part of a team of five employees and a team leader where you will be offered stimulating, interesting, and developing tasks. Together with your new colleagues, you will participate in the development of the new social services.

One of our employees will go on parental leave, which is why we are now looking for a substitute.

Your role with us

In the role of social advisor, you will conduct individual conversations/family conversations and lead groups.

In the conversations, you will focus on parenting and family through advisory, motivational, and family-supportive approaches. The work as a social advisor also includes leading various types of groups primarily aimed at parents. We work with Our Way, Cope, the Safety Circle, BIFF, and a group aimed at parents facing challenges related to school absenteeism. Collaboration with other actors such as schools, preschools, SFI, and other social services is also part of the job. Evening work will occur about one day a week.

We are eager to maintain a high level of competence, and you will work with systematic client feedback (FIT-outcomes) and participate in method development. The workgroup has external supervision.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer finds equivalent. If you also have training in the parenting support program COPE and the Safety Circle, it is an advantage.

It is an advantage if you have experience in social work within the social services area and also experience in treatment and conversations with parents and their children. Since communication and documentation are part of your tasks, we want you to communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written. A driving license for a manual transmission is required.

To succeed in the role, you need to be humble, respectful, curious, and have a good ability to create trusting and good relationships. We also appreciate flexibility and creativity.

When a candidate is offered employment, those who will come into direct and regular contact with children in their work must show a police record extract according to the provisions in 2013:852 of the Social Services Act.
