Personal Assistant Wanted for 18-Year-Old Malte in Lund!

Do you want a meaningful job where you make a real difference every day? We are now looking for a personal assistant for Malte, an 18-year-old boy in Lund who is enrolled in the individual program at Gymnasieskolan Vipan.

Malte was born with cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair, and needs help with all aspects of daily life – from morning routines to school and leisure activities. He also requires support from his assistant to communicate and be understood by others.

The workday starts and ends at home, and you will be with Malte both at home and at school. All necessary aids are in place. In the role of personal assistant, you will be Malte's safe support – someone who helps create structure, facilitates communication, and makes the day a little easier and more enjoyable.

Malte has a computer with the communication program GRID 3, which he uses both at school and during leisure time. He has received support in school from a teaching assistant but will also need help expressing himself and writing in other contexts – for example, at home and in social interactions such as social media. Therefore, it is important that you can support him in expressing his thoughts, both in writing and in communication with others.

Due to impaired vision, we are looking for someone who speaks and writes Swedish fluently, as you will need to assist with writing and conveying Malte's thoughts and ideas to others. You are calm, patient, and confident in yourself, and enjoy working closely with a person. Experience from similar work is an advantage, but your personality and commitment are the most important.

The work takes place during the day, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as every other Friday and Saturday. The position can start immediately.
