Your Mission

As a support assistant, you work to provide individually tailored support to our clients with disabilities, so they can live as influential, independent, and good a life as possible. You support clients in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities. The job includes documentation and the establishment of implementation plans.

We work with a rehabilitative and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for clients to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create security and predictability in the clients' everyday lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Description of the Workplace

Area 3 consists of the group homes Skytten 1, Skytten 2, and Smeden and is part of the functional support area in the Welfare sector. This position is based at Skytten 2.

The group homes provide accommodation for people covered by the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is trained as a support pedagogue/support assistant or has a recognized care and nursing program. We would prefer that you have experience working with people with disabilities. You are computer literate and proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience with documentation is an advantage.

You are a positive, responsible, and proactive person with good pedagogical skills. You understand that people absorb knowledge in different ways and can adapt your communication accordingly. With a strong interest in working with people, you have a professional and flexible approach to your work. You enjoy working independently as well as in collaboration with others, and you have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You also have a good understanding of your role and mission. A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
