Description

We are now looking for a dedicated and reliable personal assistant for a 19-year-old person with Lowe's syndrome who currently lives at home but will soon move to their own residence.

The position involves being a close support in daily life while contributing to independence, structure, and development. We need to expand our staff with two more individuals.

Responsibilities

The work includes, among other things:

• Support in daily routines and personal care
• Assistance with meals, fluid intake, and medication
• Creating structure and predictability in daily life
• Accompanying on activities and social contexts
• Being a reliable support during the transition to independent living
• Encouraging development, independence, and participation

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

• Soft and attentive, yet clear and confident in your leadership
• Flexible, but can maintain boundaries and create structure
• Self-sufficient and responsible
• Patient and calm, even in challenging situations
• Not afraid to challenge respectfully and support the individual's development and independence
• Aware of the importance of routines regarding diet, hydration, and medication
• Proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written

It is strongly meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with autism
• Experience with intellectual disabilities
• Experience with tube feeding
• Experience working with individuals with epilepsy
• Knowledge of or experience with Lowe's syndrome
• Familiarity with clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal approaches

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You need to be able to build trust, be stable as a person, and have the ability to adapt to daily conditions and needs, while also maintaining clear boundaries.
