Your Mission
Do you want to work closely with people and contribute to a safe, meaningful, and independent daily life? As a support assistant with us, you will have an important and varied role where you truly make a difference.
The work is based on decisions according to LSS and is adapted to each individual's needs, abilities, and wishes. You support residents in all aspects of daily life – from personal care, meals, and household chores to planning activities and social interaction.
With a pedagogical and respectful approach, you work to strengthen self-determination, participation, and integrity. You motivate and encourage the preservation and development of abilities while creating structure and predictability in daily life.
Your role includes documentation according to applicable legislation and routines. You are also part of the organization's quality work by noticing and reporting deviations and contributing to the development of methods and interventions.
You work closely with colleagues and other professionals, which requires good collaboration skills, responsibility, and flexibility. Delegated health and medical tasks may occur. There is also the possibility to take on special areas of responsibility or representative roles.

Workplace Description
Ljusnan and Bergviken group home offers accommodation for eight individuals covered by the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The operation is divided into two departments with four residents in each department, creating good conditions for close, safe, and individualized support.
The service primarily targets individuals over 65 years old, but it is always the individual's needs, wishes, and conditions that are central. The goal of LSS is to provide each person with the opportunity for good living conditions and an independent life based on their own needs and circumstances.
With us at Ljusnan and Bergviken, you will work alongside dedicated colleagues to create a safe, meaningful, and structured daily life for the residents. The work is characterized by respect for the individual's integrity, self-determination, and participation.
During the day and evening, two staff members work on each department, and at night there is awake night staff responsible for the operation. The work is carried out in close collaboration between colleagues, unit managers, nurses, and other professionals within the organization. Together, we contribute to a service with high quality, care, and professionalism in focus.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is trained as a support assistant, support pedagogue, or has education from the health and care program. Other education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent may also be relevant.
As a person, you are calm, secure, and patient in your interactions. You have the ability to create trust and build professional relationships characterized by respect and confidence. You work with a professional approach and have a good understanding of self-determination, integrity, and the importance of individualized support.
The work requires you to plan, structure, and prioritize your tasks so that the right support is provided at the right time. You contribute to creating a daily life that is predictable, safe, and meaningful for the residents. You are independent, stable, and have good self-awareness. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate and see the value of shared responsibility within the team.
We are looking for someone who is attentive, accommodating, and engaged in their work. You understand that people have different capacities to absorb information and support, and you have the pedagogical ability to adapt your approach based on the individual's needs. You can distinguish between the personal and the professional and act according to what the situation requires.
The work involves documentation and communication in digital systems. Therefore, you need to have good computer skills and be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have experience working in LSS operations or other work with individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of pedagogical approaches, such as low-arousal responses or PFA, is also beneficial.
A driving license for manual transmission is a requirement.
