About the Role
As a court administrator at Växjö District Court, you play a central role in the court's daily operations. Together with a dedicated team of administrators, judges, and clerks, you contribute to ensuring that cases and matters are handled fairly and efficiently. The work is varied, social, and requires both structure and flexibility – perfect for you who thrive in a dynamic environment.
Main Responsibilities
As a court administrator, you will:
- Handle cases and matters together with judges and clerks
- Receive and register documents
- Plan trial days and summon parties to hearings
- Take notes and minutes during trials
- Manage correspondence and assess the release of public documents
- Issue judgments and decisions as well as perform other administrative tasks
- Have daily contact with parties, representatives, authorities, and the public
Weekend work may occur in connection with the court's weekend readiness.

About You
We are looking for someone who wants to work in one of society's most important operations alongside competent and driven colleagues. In the role of court administrator, you are meticulous, independent, and place great importance on delivering high-quality tasks. You will become part of a workgroup where you work together towards common goals, which places high demands on good collaboration skills. With excellent communication skills and an understanding of how different parts of the operation interact, you will become an invaluable part of the workgroup.
You are flexible, development-oriented, and quick to learn new tasks. You can handle large amounts of information and then filter out the essential parts. Case management can at times be fast-paced. During periods of high workload, your ability to prioritize and plan your work is especially important, as is your ability to take initiative within the framework of your work.
We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To be considered for employment, you must also meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means you stand up for democratic values and the state values that govern the operations of the Swedish Courts. We require that you comply with applicable laws.
Requirements
- Completed and approved upper secondary education
- At least 1-2 years of administrative experience in the last three years, or other experience deemed relevant by the employer
- Experience in service-oriented work
- Very good proficiency in digital tools and working methods, including Microsoft Office
- Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, speaks and understands English
Meritorious
- Post-secondary education relevant to the work, such as paralegal training or other legal administrative training
- Previous experience working at a court, authority, or other legal operations
About Us
With over 100 employees, Växjö District Court is one of Sweden's larger courts. Our organization consists of employees with different competencies, each of whom is significant for maintaining high quality at all levels. The court is continuously working on organizational issues and developing working methods. The court emphasizes the importance of active employee participation with a focus on responsibility, engagement, and involvement.
The court has four adjudicating departments, two in the general court and two in the environmental court. The general court handles criminal cases, family cases, civil cases, and matters.
We share premises with the Administrative Court in Växjö. Together, we are planning to move to a new court building in the autumn of 2026.
About the Workgroup
In the general court, we are about 20 court administrators working together in the case management and registry. Our workgroup is a dynamic and engaged group that values collaboration and openness. We work together to achieve common goals and support each other to develop both professionally and personally.

Practical Information
The position is a permanent position with a six-month initial probationary period. The court applies individual salary setting.

Psychological tests may be used as part of the selection process. Prior to employment, background checks may be conducted.
