Welcome to develop with us. The Family Law Group belongs to the Social and Elderly Administration, first-line social services, and consists of seven social workers, an administrator who handles all paternity cases, and a unit manager.

We have close collaboration with other operations within the first line; reception for children, youth, and adults, the Domestic Violence Team, the Prevention Team, the Family Center, open care for youth, and family treatment.

Your mission

As a social worker in the Family Law Group, you will investigate and handle custody, housing, and visitation issues at the request of the district court and be responsible for voluntary mediation meetings with separated parents. You will also handle other types of statements and assignments from the district court such as visitation support cases and name cases, as well as investigate consent for adoption. You will investigate specially appointed guardians, establish agreements between guardians, conduct information meetings, and provide advice and support during family law telephone hours.

The position is a one-year temporary contract starting from 2026-08-01.

What we are looking for in you

• Degree in Social Work
• Experience in public authority operations and specifically investigative work with children and youth
• Knowledge and ability to document accurately and legally
• Previous experience in family law matters is an advantage
• You are structured and plan according to needs

The work involves qualified investigative and follow-up work, which needs to be characterized by good treatment, well-founded decisions, and high legal security. The work involves great variation and change, and you need to be flexible and able to handle higher workloads during periods. As we work closely together, collaboration is an important part of the job.

With us, we work on developing the operations, and you are expected to take an active part in driving this work towards set goals together with colleagues and management. We have a particular focus on developing our preventive and outreach work.
