We are looking for someone who wants to work extra, and it is a big plus if you can work a lot during the summer period.

I am a young man in my 30s living with a mitochondrial muscle disease. It is a physical disability that affects the body's muscle strength and energy production - but not my cognitive abilities. I am fully present, communicate via mobile or signs, and am active in my daily life.

I live with my parents in Järna and have help from personal assistants around the clock, with double staffing in the evenings and weekends. I am primarily looking for someone who can work during the day - but you who want to work evenings, weekends, or fill in as a substitute are also warmly welcome to apply. Both shorter and longer employment contracts are available.

About the Role:

As an assistant to me, you will help with:

• Hygiene and personal care
• Feeding via PEG
• Handling medical equipment (ventilator, cough machine, nebulizer, and stoma)
• Certain healthcare tasks at home
• Practical tasks such as laundry and cleaning in my living areas

About the Person I Am Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you need to be calm, responsible, attentive, and empathetic. I would prefer if you:

• Have experience as a personal assistant (preferable but not required)
• Have nursing assistant training and/or knowledge of sign language (preferable)
• Speak and understand Swedish fluently
• Are smoke-free and confident in yourself

My Interests:

I enjoy watching movies and series, reading books, playing video games, and going to the cinema. Sometimes I also go bowling. If you share any of these interests, that's a plus, but not a requirement.

Before Possible Employment:

You will receive introductory training through Region Stockholm to gain the right knowledge about the medical and practical work with me. Of course, you will also receive support and guidance from my assistance provider - God Assistans.
