Manpower is now looking for an engaged student for a summer job as an environmental engineer in the Energy Port for our client, Gothenburg Port. This is an opportunity for you who are at the beginning of your education in environmental science or sustainable development and want to strengthen your skills for the future.

About the position

As an environmental engineer, you will work broadly with monitoring environmental performance in water, air, and soil, as well as other environmental-related issues. You will support the department in environmental matters and report deviations in the environmental area. The role also involves issuing permits and ensuring that control programs and applicable legislation are followed.

The work is carried out in the Energy Port, and you will collaborate with experienced colleagues who will introduce you to the tasks and support you during the summer period.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for someone who

• is studying to become an environmental engineer, environmental scientist, or similar with a focus on environment or sustainability
• preferably is early in their studies
• has a technical interest and a willingness to learn
• enjoys varied tasks and meeting new people
• is communicative, attentive, flexible, and meticulous
• has good computer skills and knowledge of the Office package
• holds a B driver's license

Previous experience in similar work is an advantage but not a requirement.

Scope and period

The assignment runs from week 27 to week 34 to ensure training and handover. It is important that you can work the entire period. Since this is a part-time job, you must have another primary occupation through studies.

Security clearance

Before the assignment starts, you as a consultant will undergo a security clearance.
