About the workplace

At the environmental unit, we are about twenty inspectors working.

Together we develop the supervision and control to make it as beneficial as possible for those we serve, namely residents, visitors, animals, nature, and businesses. Good communication and legal certainty are important building blocks in our work.

The environmental unit has high competence, where we constantly learn from each other. You will contribute to the group's success by sharing your knowledge and experience. We believe that the key to our development is to have groups with mixed skills and experiences that enjoy working together. The unit is undergoing change, which is why we are looking for someone who possesses digital maturity and the courage to test new working methods and perspectives.

We are now looking for an engaged environmental inspector who wants to work within the Environmental Code and be a driving force in developing our working methods regarding welfare crime, among other things. The tasks can be partially adapted based on your experiences and wishes.

Job Responsibilities

The work includes, among other things:

  • planning, implementing, and following up on supervision and handling incoming cases.
  • working according to laws and regulations, with efficient and legally secure handling, providing good service with a focus on openness, respect, and professionalism.
  • being responsible for making authority decisions in accordance with the delegation order and preparing and presenting cases for political decisions.

The work is independent and at the same time a team effort with check-ins, prioritizations, and assessments within the group.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for someone who is engaged and driven to help develop working methods, methods, and forms of collaboration in the area of welfare crime. You enjoy working independently but also have good collaboration skills and see the value of effective teamwork.

  • You possess digital maturity and the courage to test new working methods and perspectives.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Qualifications

  • You have a university degree with a focus on environmental and health protection or education and experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • You have a B driver's license.
  • You master Swedish in speech and writing.

We would like you to have experience working as an environmental inspector, but other work experience in the environmental field is also meritorious.
