Midwife to the Delivery Unit in Hudiksvall

The delivery unit in Hudiksvall has approximately 850 deliveries per year from week 32 of pregnancy. We have an obstetric outpatient care service with ultrasound as well as a maternity ward with eight places where partners can also stay overnight. We have a working method that we call NSF, newborn family-centered care, where we strive for zero separation between mother and child and where we also collaborate with NEO to achieve our ambition.

We are looking for a licensed midwife who wants to contribute to safe and secure care for women and newborns, both in the delivery unit and the maternity ward.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the delivery unit, we work together to provide every pregnant woman with the best experience during childbirth. We strive for high presence and always have two midwives during the delivery stage, while actively working to minimize separations and ensure family-centered care. Day, evening, and possible night shifts are included in the position.

As a midwife with us, you will work with:

• standard midwifery tasks
• providing delivery care where you support the woman and her partner for a safe and secure delivery
• care for women and newborns
• performing documentation and CTG interpretation
• offering high-quality antenatal care and outpatient care
• mentoring and developing others in the profession (after a while)
• working with telephone advice to support our patients
• rotating between delivery and maternity ward.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in the role of midwife with us, you need to be a person who takes responsibility, remains calm, and acts proactively in various situations. You work closely with both patients and colleagues, and it is important that you can collaborate effectively in a team to provide the best possible care. A responsive and understanding attitude towards both women and their families is crucial for creating a safe and supportive atmosphere. You should also have a strong desire to provide high-quality care and always strive to exceed patient expectations.

As a midwife with us, you should:

• be a licensed midwife.

If you have experience in women's health care, it is an advantage.
