Job Advertisement: Nurse for the Cardiology Department

The Cardiology Department/Intensive Care Unit (HIA) at Bollnäs Hospital has twelve beds where we care for patients with heart diseases such as angina, heart attack, heart failure, and arrhythmias, as well as providing aftercare following heart surgeries. The unit collaborates with the cardiology intervention center in Gävle, the heart clinic, and the physiological laboratory in Bollnäs. With us, you will work in a dedicated team focused on cardiac care and the best interests of the patient.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work in a multidisciplinary team around the patient to collectively provide the best possible care. You will collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and during the day with physiotherapists and occupational therapists. We always prioritize the patient's best interests, which means collaboration with other professional categories is a given. The department offers continuous telemetry monitoring and ischemia monitoring.

As a nurse with us, you will, among other things:

• be the team leader for your care team and coordinate both medical and nursing issues
• review and document cardiac monitoring in consultation with doctors
• engage in dialogue with patients regarding secondary prevention.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you as a nurse with us to have the ability to remain calm and focus on the right things in acute situations. Since the work involves close collaboration with other professional categories, it is important that you have good communication skills and can listen to your colleagues constructively. You are also attentive to your patients and have the ability to understand their perspectives to provide the best possible care. You must also be able to make quick and well-founded decisions in complex and unpredictable situations.

In the role of nurse, you should be:

• a licensed nurse.

Experience in inpatient care, especially in cardiac and/or emergency care, is an advantage.
