Hudiksvall Midwifery Clinic offers comprehensive care in maternal health, contraceptive counseling, and gynecological health checks in Northern Hälsingland. The operation includes both midwifery and youth clinics in Hudiksvall and Ljusdal, where we have a close collaboration to provide women and families with the best possible support. With Hudiksvall as your base, you will become part of our experienced team and have the opportunity to contribute and grow in an operation that spans all of Northern Hälsingland.

The delivery unit in Hudiksvall has about 850 deliveries per year from week 32 of pregnancy. We have an obstetric outpatient service with ultrasound as well as a maternity ward with eight places where partners can also stay overnight. We have a working method we call NSF, newborn family-centered care, where we strive for zero separation between mother and child and where we also collaborate with NEO to achieve our ambition.

The rotation service gives you the opportunity to develop your skills in both acute and planned care and to follow women and families through different stages. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the midwifery clinic, you as a midwife will have the opportunity to meet women and families at various stages of life, contributing to health and well-being through both individual support and group activities. You will work independently and in a team with lifestyle issues, pregnancy checks, parenting advice, contraceptives, and gynecological cytology screening to prevent cervical cancer.

At the delivery department, you will work to provide each pregnant woman with the best possible experience during childbirth. We strive for high presence and to always have two midwives present during the pushing stage, while actively working to minimize separations and ensure family cohesion. Our close collaboration with the neonatal department makes us a team that truly focuses on the patient's needs.

In your role as a midwife in the delivery department, you will work with:

• standard midwifery tasks
• providing delivery care where you support the woman and her partner for a safe and secure delivery
• care for women and newborns
• performing documentation and CTG interpretation
• offering antenatal care and outpatient care of high quality
• mentoring and developing others in the profession (after a while)
• working with telephone counseling to support our patients
• rotating between delivery and maternity.

As a midwife at the midwifery clinic, you will work with:

• health care related to pregnancy, including medical basic programs, fetal diagnostics, health information during pregnancy, and psychosocial work
• providing support in parenting and parenting groups with childbirth and parenting preparation
• family planning on an individual level, including contraceptive counseling and STI prevention
• gynecological cytology screening to prevent cervical cancer
• public health work and discussions about lifestyle issues.

For this role, you should be:

• a licensed midwife.

It is an advantage if you have experience in delivery.
