Da Vinciskolan – Where learning is close!

At Da Vinciskolan, you will have the chance to work with dedicated and ambitious colleagues and inspiring young people in grades 7 to 9. The school has fantastic facilities in a beautiful building designed by Gert Wingårdh. But the real beauty lies in all the activities happening inside the house. Da Vinciskolan is part of Ale Kulturrum, and the building also houses the municipal library, a youth center, and Ale cultural school.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher at Da Vinciskolan, you will conduct modern and creative teaching and find strategies to reach each student and support them in both knowledge development and personal growth. When there is a desire to learn, it is easy to teach. Therefore, we want you to work with variation in teaching and great engagement so that each student can find their energy.

The subject team in physical education and health consists of you and two subject-qualified colleagues. With us, you are both a subject teacher and a mentor for a class together with one of your colleagues, and you are part of one of the three teams at the school. The responsibility as a mentor includes, in addition to individual student responsibility, a willingness and ability to create a good cohesion in the class you and your mentor colleague are responsible for.

Your duties include planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests, both individually and together with the team you belong to. You collaborate with other school staff to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff and participate in the school's development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher in physical education and health, preferably in combination with another subject.

We are interested in you who have high ambitions with your teaching career and who like to work towards common goals and visions. You are a team player who enjoys collaboration and a student democratic working method. You have a good ability to create and maintain relationships with both children, adolescents, and adults, and understand the importance of meeting students with both structure and support.

You are clear in your leadership and secure in your professional role towards students, guardians, and colleagues. You reflect on methods and working methods and strive to develop as a teacher. You also have good experience and knowledge of working with relevant digital tools.

You have a good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have a good didactic and pedagogical ability and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a calm and good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.
