The Nature Schools Axevalla Horse Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront in the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

Description:

The Biological Vocational College, BYS, is seeking an Educational Leader for the Young Horse Training program.

We are looking for someone who wants a role close to the industry and be an important part of training high-quality Young Horse Educators.

Our operations are characterized by constant development and change, so we are looking for someone who thrives in such an environment. We will start in the autumn of 2026, and you will have a great opportunity to put your mark on a completely new education.

As an educational leader at the vocational college, you are responsible for leading and developing our programs, focusing on quality and relevance to the labor market. You have a strong connection in the horse industry and collaborate with all functions within the administration. The role includes teaching, planning, and grading.

As an educational leader, you are responsible for driving the education forward and ensuring that it maintains high quality and delivers students who are ready for the labor market. It is crucial that you collaborate with all parts of the horse industry. In this role, you are responsible for the daily work regarding the education's budget, its management group, and the education's structure. The role also includes being part of the BYS management group led by the principal and participating in the development of new programs.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and overall responsibility for the education
• Contact with the authority regarding the education
• Work with both the authority's and the education's governing documents.
• Responsibility for the education's management group and development
• Own teaching, course leadership, and mentoring
• Contact with and support for students
• Contact with industry representatives and networking within the relevant industry
• Administration and systematic quality work
• Together with colleagues, develop a sought-after education within the green industries
• Participate in the management group of the Biological Vocational College

There is an opportunity to participate in international projects and exchanges. There is also a possibility to engage in various projects within the Nature Management Administration's competence center.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent
• Well acquainted with the horse industry
• Strong network within the horse industry
• Relevant certificates and qualifications for the education
• Driver's license B for manual transmission is a requirement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in teaching and coaching
• Have shown young horses in various age competitions
• Educational leadership training
• Worked in a leading position

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in the horse industry. You are solution-focused, flexible, and can work both independently and in a team. You are meticulous and follow the regulations and quality requirements that the role entails. You enjoy meeting people and have a strong desire for development and collaboration.

Conditions

Permanent employment with a 100% employment rate. Evening and weekend work may occur. Start date by agreement.
