Responsibilities

Within Umeå Municipality, you will work as a nurse with independent responsibility for health and medical care interventions for our care recipients. Our tasks include telephone counseling, medical assessments, prescriptions, and palliative care. We operate from a shared office and perform both planned and unplanned interventions within regular housing as well as care and nursing homes within elderly and disability care.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in the profession. We prefer candidates with experience in home healthcare and/or elderly care, as well as specialist training focused on district nursing or elderly care, but this is not a requirement. Furthermore, for this position, you need to have a B driver's license and fluency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

As a nurse in the municipality, you, along with your colleagues, have the highest medical competence in the organization. Therefore, the role requires you to be confident in taking responsibility, have good initiative, and actively contribute to clear and professional communication in collaboration with other professional groups. You meet care recipients, relatives, and partners with a good, respectful, and professional approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

At the workplace, there may be pets and smoking individuals, so you should not be allergic. Transfers may occur, but aids are available.

Employment Information

This is a permanent full-time position, starting on 2026-04-20 or by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for nights with duty every third weekend. Working time reduction with a weekly working time of 32 hours. In addition to extra pay for unsocial hours, additional compensation is provided for each evening shift.
