YOUR ROLE

As a nurse with us, you will work with health and medical care interventions at the primary care level for patients aged 18 and older, in their own homes. The work is independent, varied, and mobile, and includes assessment, planning, implementation, and follow-up of interventions based on the patient's needs. You are a central part of the person-centered approach and actively contribute to shaping care together with the patient.

Your role also includes guiding and supporting other professional groups and collaborating with relatives, colleagues, and external actors, where the region is an important partner. At the same time, you are never alone in your assignment, but have the support of colleagues and management in your daily work.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are primarily looking for you who are a licensed nurse, or soon to be licensed. Previous experience working as a nurse is an advantage, as is specialized training in a relevant area. To thrive in the role, you need to be confident in your professional role and have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your assessments, while also being able to structure and prioritize your work in a changing everyday life.

You communicate clearly, pedagogically, and with care, and find it easy to collaborate with others. A driving license (B) is a requirement, and you need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Skellefteå municipality is a Finnish and Sámi administrative municipality, which means that knowledge of Finnish or Sámi is an advantage, as well as sign language. The position is subject to a requirement for a criminal record extract according to law. Before a possible job offer, you must present an extract from the criminal record for work with elderly people or people with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Police Authority.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The health and medical care unit is part of the social office in Skellefteå municipality and is there for residents throughout the municipality. Our everyday life is characterized by collaboration, trust, and a shared ambition to develop both working methods and digital solutions that strengthen the quality of care. With us, you will have an independent job with close collegial support, individual onboarding, and opportunities for further education.

We value the balance between work and leisure and prioritize daytime for preventive work, while the operation is also available in the evenings, weekends, and nights when patients need us the most. In full-time work, the schedule currently involves working one weekend every six-week period and about four evenings during the same period. Here, you will be part of a professional and dedicated workgroup where we together make a real difference for people in their daily lives.
