Care & Support, Medical Unit

We operate from the municipality's special housing Bergvattengården, where we independently plan and organize our day. Job Responsibilities

You will perform usual nursing tasks within the framework of municipal health and medical care responsibility at special housing and within home care. Your tasks include assessing, planning, executing, and following up health and medical care interventions for residents at Bergvattengården's elderly care, LSS group housing, and home care. You may also receive orders from doctors for continued care interventions from the region. You will guide and teach care staff as needed at night. The work also includes documentation and deviations according to applicable laws and regulations. You will collaborate and communicate with internal and external actors.

You will have close cooperation with nursing colleagues and other licensed personnel working during the day, as well as care staff. The care recipient is at the center.

Qualifications

Educated licensed nurse. Further education in geriatrics, district nursing, or education deemed equivalent by the employer, as well as experience from similar work, is meritorious.

You are expected to be able to work independently, be proactive and responsible, and place great importance on having good subject competence and a desire to stay updated within your field as a nurse. The work requires a systematic and careful approach and the ability to prioritize correctly.

Since Dorotea municipality is a Sámi administrative area, we see it as meritorious if you have good knowledge of the South Sámi culture and South Sámi as a language.

Due to the challenge of recruiting licensed personnel, we are currently offering a retention bonus after 12 and 24 months. We also offer financial support for moving costs and rent for those who move to Dorotea municipality.
