Job Responsibilities

Within Umeå Municipality, you will work as a registered nurse responsible for health and medical care interventions for our patients. Tasks include, among others, medical assessments, wound care, medication management, documentation, and mentoring of nursing staff.

You ensure that medical interventions maintain high quality and function well in daily operations. In this role, you collaborate closely with care staff, paramedical professions, and managers within care and nursing homes, as well as coordinating contacts with doctors and other professionals in both primary and inpatient care.

Qualifications

We are looking for a registered nurse, preferably with experience and/or further education in elderly care, district nursing, or psychiatry, though this is not a requirement. The job requires a B-class driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

As a nurse in the municipality, you and your nursing colleagues hold the highest medical competence. Therefore, it is important that you are comfortable taking responsibility, have good initiative, and contribute to good communication in collaboration with other professions. You must demonstrate a kind and respectful attitude towards patients, relatives, and others you encounter in your daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Please note that the workplace may involve animals and smokers. Heavy lifting may occur; lifting aids must be used.

Employment Information

Four permanent full-time positions, starting as soon as possible by agreement. Working hours are during the day with duty every 6th weekend.

Before an employment offer is made, you are required to present an extract from the police criminal register. This is done as the final step in the recruitment process.
