Work as a Nursing Assistant in Region Västerbotten's Primary Care
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
The region's primary care operates a broad primary care service throughout Region Västerbotten, meeting patients of all ages in both urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and rural clinics (sjukstugor), we are where you are. We offer research and development, utilizing medical results to provide high-quality care where the patient is an active participant. We want our employees to be involved, have influence, and feel pride in working in the region's primary care. Here you have the opportunity for a job where you can combine an interesting and developing career with a rich selection of outdoor activities, summer and winter.
The rural clinics are part of the Southern Lapland local healthcare area, which serves as a model area for the transition to "close care" (nära vård). With effective collaboration and a focus on the citizen, we drive important change initiatives within the region and together with the municipality. Remote clinical assessment and digital healthcare meetings are developing rapidly and are a crucial part of securing good, close, and accessible care in this area. Therefore, it is no coincidence that we are at the forefront in this field. The rural clinic model, which is an important starting point for close care, characterizes both the attitude and working methods in the daily operations of the service.
The rural clinics in Vilhelmina, Åsele, and Dorotea belong to the same base unit and are located in Southern Lapland. The nearest hospital is in Lycksele, where the county's ambulance helicopter is stationed.
Our rural clinics function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to emergency care beds, X-ray, ambulance services, and a laboratory. Our use of telemedicine is well-developed. Here you will find occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, counselors, physicians, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants. We provide emergency care as well as standard health center work and have well-developed collaboration between all our professional groups and with the municipalities.

The position involves work on our emergency care department where, as a nursing assistant, you contribute with knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.
