The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic is a regional clinic with outpatient units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The clinic also includes a BUP care department located in Umeå. BUP Västerbotten is a USVE unit with close collaboration with universities and research. Within the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and the work is carried out in close collaboration with the patient's family and other networks. We have clear goals that we achieve by inspiring each other to creative improvement work. At the same time, we emphasize creating a health-promoting work environment in our units.

In our assessment team, we meet children and adolescents with suspected neuropsychiatric conditions, as well as other difficulties such as psychotic symptoms, personality issues, or concurrent somatic conditions. Continuous development work is ongoing in the team to ensure that each child receives the right intervention and further support as part of implementing standardized care processes. We work across the region, which means that the placement location can be chosen based on your own preferences.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a psychologist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. The psychologist role at BUP involves working independently and in teams with assessment and treatment of children and adolescents requiring interventions at a specialized child psychiatric level. In your work, you will meet children and adolescents with more severe psychiatric conditions. For this position, the main focus will be on assessment and investigation.

We are now strengthening our assessment team with five positions for a targeted mission to meet the children and adolescents who have waited the longest for a first visit. The mission will also include meeting children who need further assessment and investigation as part of standardized care processes.

As a psychologist, you work with evidence-based methods according to the current guidelines. You plan, implement, and evaluate your interventions independently. You also participate in teamwork and collaboration with colleagues as needed. Working with us also involves consulting and collaborating with schools, preschools, social services, and other clinics within healthcare. A job that enables and creates conditions to see the patient from a holistic perspective.

Since we are a regional clinic, travel to other units may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be a licensed psychologist. We prefer that you have experience working with children and adolescents, familiarity with assessment and investigation, training in ADOS and/or ADI-R, and other relevant assessment instruments for the assignment. You have an interest in working in a structured and evidence-based manner.

You are a secure and structured person with a professional approach. You are responsible and adaptable to changing circumstances. Since we work a lot in teams, we see that you enjoy collaborating and being there for both colleagues and patients. We also appreciate an interest in research, development work, and evidence-based practice.
