We are looking for a museum host with a focus on programs for our operations in Stockholm.

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in customer service, experience in administration related to program activities, driven by a strong sense of service, and who has a broad interest in culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include warmly and curiously welcoming and informing our visitors about our activities in our three Stockholm museums: the Mediterranean Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, and the East Asian Museum.

As a museum host, you will circulate in the public areas of the museum, answer visitors' questions on-site and digitally, conduct tours and visitor surveys, and staff the entrance and shop. Additionally, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of exhibitions and public areas and act in alarm and emergency situations. The work also includes preparations and execution for venue rentals/conferences.

As a museum host with a focus on programs, you will also work independently to manage administrative preparatory and follow-up tasks related to program activities, actively work on audience engagement, liaise with participants and sometimes external partners, and input program items into booking systems, social media, and various websites prior to program activities.

You will have scheduled working hours that include daytime, evenings, and weekends. This role is part of both a host team and a program team, along with other functions related to program activities. The role is a crucial part of the ongoing communication between program activities and hosting. You will primarily work at the East Asian Museum, but also at our two other museums in Stockholm as needed. You will contribute with engagement and ideas and collaborate well with colleagues to best meet all visitors' needs and offer a first-class visitor experience.

The position is a permanent employment of 90%.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory Requirements

Completed relevant upper secondary education
Experience in customer service and hosting within the visitor or tourism industry
Experience in ticket and cash handling
Experience in preparing, presenting, and executing program activities/events
Experience in audience engagement
Experience with basic technology (sound, light, image) for meetings and program activities
Good ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish and English
