We are now looking for strategists for our business development and IT department.
About the role
As a strategist with us, you will contribute to developing, managing, and disseminating support and services within public procurement, strategic purchasing, and innovation. Your tasks will particularly include providing support and knowledge to decision-makers, procurement managers, and those working on the development of public procurement.
We are now looking for senior employees who want to drive the development of our support in the following areas:
- Strategic and innovation-driven public procurement
- IT procurements and complex service agreements
- Category management
- Business and contract models within the public sector
- Supplier management, contract monitoring, and internal control
- Preventing and combating welfare crime in procurements and contracts
Your tasks
- Lead or participate in government assignments, projects, analyses, and investigations, as well as develop, provide, and disseminate support in the area.
- Give presentations at conferences, seminars, and other training sessions.
- Monitor and analyze strategic trends and changes affecting public procurement.
- Collaborate with key actors in the ecosystem (authorities, regions and municipalities, suppliers, industry organizations).
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in social sciences, economics, law, or a similar higher education that we consider relevant for the position.
- Several years of experience leading or participating in strategic initiatives in procurement, such as developing purchasing operations, innovation procurement, category management, implementing purchasing systems, optimizing supply chains, or digital development of procurement operations.
- Experience in preparing decision-making materials and presenting proposals and recommendations to management.
- Good knowledge of public procurement.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
Desirable
It is desirable for us if you have experience in:
- Procurement and management of complex agreements
- IT procurement
- Method and process development
Your qualities
As a person, you are structured and analytical, able to break down complex problems and formulate actionable alternatives that are translated into decision-making materials. You act professionally and make well-founded trade-offs based on the utility of the business, and you are driven to implement improvements. You are used to working independently and are good at planning, prioritizing, and driving work forward.
You have excellent collaboration and partnership skills with others, building trust and creating engagement.

About us
The Procurement Authority is Sweden's expert authority for sound public procurement. We provide support and disseminate knowledge in public procurement and state aid to various actors in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. We are also a statistical authority responsible for collecting, developing, managing, and disseminating statistics on public procurement.
We are currently in an exciting development phase with strong growth. In 2026 and 2027, parts of other authorities' areas of work will be integrated into the Procurement Authority.
We have a flexible workplace and are located in bright offices in Solna, close to public transport.

Employment
We are looking for two employees for permanent positions and we normally apply a six-month probationary period. The employment is full-time with trust-based working hours and individual salary setting. The physical location is at our office in Solna. There is an opportunity to work remotely to some extent. Start date according to agreement.
