The Social Administration is one of four administrations in Lomma Municipality. The Social Administration in Lomma Municipality offers various forms of advice, support, and care to ensure that the municipality's residents have good opportunities to live a good life. The administration works on behalf of the Social Committee and is responsible for health, care, support for disabilities, and individual and family care.

We are now looking for a department manager for the HSL and Authority, HVO department who wants to continue the important development and quality work that has been ongoing for the past few years. We offer a challenging and varied assignment in a role that has great significance for our elderly citizens.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a department manager, you have overall responsibility for occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and assistance officers. In the role of department manager, you will have the opportunity for a stimulating assignment with a great chance to influence. The position is both operational and strategic with a clear development focus where high demands are placed on you as a leader to actively develop your employees and work together towards clear goals that drive the organization forward. You are part of the management team of the administration and, together with other department managers, drive the strategic work forward within the framework of the administration's assignment.

You have your own responsibility for budget, personnel, and operational issues. Your primary task will be to lead, develop, and follow up on operations in close collaboration with your unit managers and fellow managers, especially with the department manager for elderly care. Your task will also be to conduct continuous and structured quality development work to create conditions for learning and development and to communicate operational direction and goals. An important part is to follow developments in the external environment and contribute to a healthy workplace through participation and dialogue. In this role, you also lead by being a role model in both word and deed. You also have a responsibility to contribute to good collaboration within and outside the social administration.

You report directly to the social manager and lead the work through three unit managers, a medically responsible nurse, a medically responsible for rehabilitation, and a dementia nurse who report directly to you. Together, you create conditions for the effective use of the organization's resources, characterized by user focus, quality, and professionalism. You work together to maintain and develop the quality of the operations and the competence and work environment of the employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a higher education degree in a relevant field. To be successful in the role, you need to have several years of managerial experience as well as experience managing academically trained staff. You have documented experience of being responsible for finance, personnel, and operational issues. You have good experience in the field of health, care, and support and an understanding of its assignments, challenges, and processes. Furthermore, you have very good knowledge of health and medical care legislation and social services legislation. Experience working in a politically governed organization is a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have leadership training and experience working as a manager of managers. We would also like you to have experience in process management and change management as well as knowledge in good and close care and preventive and health-promoting work. Experience in union cooperation is also valuable. Additionally, it is a plus if you have worked in the operational systems Lifecare, Stratsys, and Hypergene and are accustomed to working in the Office suite.

Since you will have many contacts in your work, you need to have good communication skills, ease in collaborating, and the ability to create trusting relationships. You are structured, have a holistic view, and are driven by development and continuous improvements. You need to be calm and able to maintain focus and decisiveness even in pressured situations. If you are also courageous, self-assured, and have a well-developed ability to lead yourself, you are exactly who we need.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

Personal suitability will be an important part of our assessment.

OTHER

All department managers within Lomma Municipality undergo training in Developing Leadership and Indirect Leadership, which will also be made available to you as a future department manager.
