Operations Manager in Health and Care

About the Position

Höör Municipality is currently developing and refining its operations in health and care and is therefore seeking two operations managers, one for Elderly Care and Health Care and another for Care of Persons with Disabilities and Authority.

As the operations manager for Elderly Care and Health Care, you have overall responsibility for driving strategic development, ensuring high quality, and leading the operational organization within your area.

The role involves leading through managers and developing effective, sustainable, and needs-adapted working methods. You are a clear and present leader who steers towards set goals and creates the right conditions for both managers and employees to succeed. You will have overall responsibility for special housing, home care, home health care, and rehabilitation.

Your Strategic Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing unit managers
  • Responsible for budget, financial management, and resource efficiency
  • Ensuring systematic follow-up through key figures, analysis, and environmental monitoring
  • Developing and implementing sustainable and qualitative working methods and processes
  • Ensuring clear communication, decision-making paths, and structure in management
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including authorities and care providers
  • Contributing to long-term competence supply and a sustainable work environment

About You

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in social work, health and care, health care, behavioral science, or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

We see that you have:

  • Experience in elderly care and health care
  • Experience in leading managers.
  • Experience in financial management, budget responsibility, and resource efficiency.
  • Experience in leading operational development, quality work, and implementing new working methods.
  • Experience working with key figures, analysis, environmental monitoring, and needs assessments.

As a person, you have strong analytical skills, see the big picture, and understand the connections between quality, needs, and resource use. You are structured and work methodically with planning, follow-up, and quality while driving the operations forward and ensuring that improvements are implemented.

You build trust, collaborate at all levels, and are communicative and transparent, creating security in change and explaining complex issues in an understandable way. Your leadership is clear and courageous; you make decisions, prioritize, and create clarity for both managers and employees.

It is advantageous if you have education in leadership, change management, or other strategic leadership competencies. Previous experience in change work in complex or politically governed organizations, as well as strategic work in larger organizations with multiple stakeholders, is also considered advantageous. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability.

The position of Operations Manager is a permanent employment with start date by agreement. Currently, Höör Municipality has no remote work agreement. We apply continuous selection, which means that we may call for interviews before the application period has expired.
