We are now looking for a new Chief of Staff who will lead the Office with enthusiasm and commitment, which is part of the Main Assignment of the Municipal Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Office is a central part of the democratic process where registration, committee secretariat, archives, and management support to political leadership and the municipal director are handled. The unit is also responsible for conducting general elections and managing matters decided in various political bodies.

The Chief of Staff's task is to lead and develop the administrative work together with the unit's employees, support the political decision-making process, and ensure effective, legally secure, and qualitative case management and information management processes. The role also includes being directive and supportive in the work with the municipality's information management process. In the coming years, the focus will also be on relocating the municipality's archives to new premises. You will monitor the external environment and initiate improvement work within the office's areas of responsibility. You will also sit on the steering group for SkånEarkiv.

You are responsible for the office's operations, staff, finances, and work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have previous management or leadership experience relevant to the position and that you have a university degree, preferably in law, political science, or another education that the employer deems relevant. You should have experience working in a politically governed organization and knowledge of municipal law and the laws that govern the work of municipalities.

The role of Chief of Staff requires you to be structured and have the ability to create and contribute to good collaborations and relationships. We are convinced that you are a person who can create sustainable results together with others. You are someone with good pedagogical skills who leads with attentiveness, trust, and clarity, and has the ability to build a strong team within your workgroup. You are expected to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. Previous experience with Ciceron DoÄ (document and case management) is an advantage.
