The Norrbotniabanan is a 270 km long new railway between Umeå and Luleå and one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects. Within the Stora Projekt area, Trafikverket manages complex construction projects with high demands on quality, safety, and delivery.
We are now looking for two consultants in Production Support Construction Work Environment for Trafikverket who want to contribute to a safe and efficient production. You will be part of the project organization and work closely with project management and contractors to ensure that the client's work environment responsibility is fulfilled.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for creating structure and progress in the work environment efforts during the implementation phase. You will contribute with specialist expertise in construction work environment and ensure that requirements, routines, and working methods are implemented in practice in the operations.
You will work proactively with risk identification, follow-up, and improvement measures, and contribute to the development of work environment efforts over time.
Your tasks include, among others:
- Follow up that legal requirements and internal guidelines are applied in the contracts
- Review and follow up risk assessments and action plans
- Participate in coordination between different actors and technical areas
- Conduct site inspections and safety observations
- Manage and follow up deviations and ensure that corrective actions are implemented
- Prepare decision-making documents and summaries related to the work environment
- Ensure correct documentation and reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement work
Mandatory requirements
All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.
- Have a university/college degree with a technical orientation or other education or experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in work environment-related work within the construction and infrastructure sector, of which at least one (1) year in contracts larger than 20 MSEK, within the last ten (10) years. (At least 30% employment rate per year of experience) Verified through reference assignments.
- Approved training to function as the Client's construction work environment coordinator, BAS-P, and BAS-U.
- Approved training in the Client's work environment responsibility. Verified through training certificates before contract start.
- Hold a valid B driver's license and be able to provide your own service vehicle.
- Master Swedish in speech and writing.
Assignment information
The contract is valid from 2026-05-01 to 2028-04-30.
Option: The client has the unilateral opportunity to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional two (2) + two (2) + one (1) year.
Scope: Estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 100% with an annual working time of 1,700 hours.
The stationing location for the resource consultant is Skellefteå. This assignment requires physical presence at Trafikverket's office 5 days a week.
This assignment requires travel for work, primarily to the workplace including within the contract. Travel may occur between Norrbotniabanan's other project offices located in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Luleå.
