The Role with Us

As an operation and maintenance worker with us, you will work with traffic closures, winter maintenance, summer groundworks, and minor construction work. This may include tasks such as sign installations, railing work, road inspections, and excavation work. The job also includes being on call, which means being responsible for calling out snow plowing and ice control units and managing communication with contractors. The on-call duty is scheduled.

Your Experience

We are looking for someone with:

• experience in earthworks or other relevant experience from the contracting industry.
• a practical educational background and enjoys working in a team.
• BE and C driver's licenses are required.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is required.

Hot work and Work on Road 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.2, and 2.3 are meritorious. Heavier driving licenses such as CE and operating certificates for wheel loaders are also meritorious within the organization.

We are looking for someone who is practical, responsible, and engaged in their work. The operations are somewhat event-driven by what happens on the streets/roads, which requires some flexibility. You are communicative and take responsibility for creating a good community and achieving good results together with your colleagues. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Additional Information

The employment is a permanent position, with a probationary period applicable.

The place of employment is Umeå. The position includes winter on-call duty and summer preparedness, which sometimes requires work outside regular working hours. You will report to the site manager for the operational area. Start date according to agreement.
