The Role of Project Manager

You will be part of the Project section where we are a team of 17 people who together carry out Vakin's investment projects in our owner municipalities.

In the group, we work with both construction and pipeline projects. Our construction projects may include the renovation or expansion of waterworks, treatment plants, pumping stations, or waste facilities. Our pipeline projects focus more on what lies underground, such as our water and sewage pipelines.

Your Responsibilities as a Project Manager with Us

You will lead projects in all their parts based on clear frameworks regarding budget, timeline, as well as design and implementation. You will participate in procurement and requirements specification towards technical consultants and contractors in the projects and, if necessary, participate in and conduct feasibility studies.

You are expected to make continuous follow-ups on your projects and transfer your experiences to colleagues and other stakeholders once you have completed them.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a university degree or another suitable background that is deemed equivalent, or corresponding work experience. You have experience in project management or similar tasks. Furthermore, you have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish and a valid driver's license (B). It is considered an advantage if you have knowledge of construction law or procurement.

To succeed in the role, you find it easy to collaborate and build relationships with different types of people. You plan and organize your work independently and can quickly change your approach and make your own decisions in altered circumstances. You are proactive in your work and see opportunities in changes.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement. We may apply a probationary period.
