We are looking for a Construction Manager Ground/VA for Norrbotniabanan at the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Skellefteå.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a Construction Manager Ground/VA for Norrbotniabanan at the Swedish Transport Administration, you will work as a resource consultant in the client's project organization. You will support the project manager in production technical matters and ensure that contracts, drawings, and agreed goals are followed in the execution of contracts. The role involves technical, temporal, economic, and quality coordination as well as follow-up, with a focus on efficient production and collaboration with contractors. You will also contribute to knowledge transfer to the personnel of the Swedish Transport Administration.

Responsibilities

Ensure that the assigned contract is executed according to contract, drawings, and goals, in collaboration with the project manager.

Follow up on technology, economy, time, quality, environment, work environment, and safety, and report further.

Participate in production technical solutions and maintain daily contact with contractors to facilitate collaboration and progress.

Monitor and follow up on the contractor's work, identify problem areas, and provide technical advice before decisions and actions.

Collaborate with adjacent construction managers and support junior resources as needed.

Ensure that necessary permits, building permits, and other prerequisites are in place.

Keep and review a diary of important events and minutes from meetings.

Follow up on the contractor's final documentation, self-control, control plans, work preparations, and participate in inspections.

Assist in the follow-up of the project's quantity regulation.

Requirements (Mandatory)

At least 5 years of experience as a site manager, construction manager, foreman, project manager, assignment manager, or equivalent for assignments related to construction contracts in road and/or railway. Work experience should not be older than 10 years. (At least 30% employment rate per year of experience)

At least 3 years of experience in management work of the type: Stormwater systems/management, Waste/freshwater facilities, and cabling for electricity/telecom/opto. (At least 30% employment rate per year of experience)

Documented experience in AMA Construction and AMA MER 17 or later edition, or equivalent experience as assessed by the client.

Documented training in General Terms (AB04) or equivalent experience as assessed by the client.

Driver's license B.

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable

You have experience working with support structures such as sheet piling, trench boxes, and foundations, e.g., piling, KC columns, lightweight fill.

You have experience working as a construction manager or inspector in land and construction projects. (At least 30% employment rate per year of experience)

You have strong problem-solving skills.

You have strong collaboration skills.
