About the Role

Vattenfall Eldistribution AB is Vattenfall's electricity network operations and one of Sweden's largest electricity network companies. We are responsible for a critical infrastructure that distributes electricity to more than 900,000 businesses and households. We are now looking for a manager for the Project Implementation department in Solna, Uppsala, or Västerås, focusing on Local Networks.

As the department manager, you will lead and inspire a team of knowledgeable project managers who ensure that our facility investments provide us with the best possible conditions to be Sweden's leading electricity network company.

Your main focus in this role will be to work with competence supply, business development, and resource management, always with the employee in focus! Your project managers are responsible for leading facility projects on Vattenfall's local networks, 0.4-36kV. The projects are mainly located in the Stockholm area and central Sweden.

Your responsibilities as Department Manager for Project Implementation Local Networks:

Your primary responsibility as department manager is to drive the department towards set goals and visions while leading and coaching the employees in your department. You will be part of the management team for project implementation where you plan, develop, and drive common areas for the department.

In addition to leading the department, your responsibilities include the following:

  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external parties, where the ability to communicate, collaborate, influence, and develop the business is important.
  • Develop long-term collaboration with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Develop your group and actively contribute to the development of the management team you will be part of.
  • Work on business development.
  • Work on competence supply and development of your employees.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has several years of experience working as a manager with personnel responsibility
  • Has a relevant academic degree or equivalent work experience
  • Has good communication skills both written and verbal, with proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Is driven to develop the business, your own organization, and employees
  • Cares about workplace safety and understands the importance of safety as we build critical infrastructure, and these aspects are central to everything we do
  • Has a high degree of business acumen and a good understanding of economics

It is also meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working with electrical power
  • Experience working with larger business projects, preferably of a technical nature from the energy sector or other infrastructure
  • Worked with process and business development
