Information about the position

The assignment is part of our staffing services. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for our client. The intention is that you will eventually be able to be directly employed by them, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

You will belong to our client's hardware testing team, which is responsible for specifying, planning, and conducting tests of the company's products. The team ensures that the products meet applicable regulatory requirements and standards, such as EMC, LVD, and RED, as well as other relevant environmental requirements. The work also involves ongoing contact with international testing and certification institutes.

The role is placed within the hardware department in the R&D organization. You will work closely with hardware designers, project managers, and other specialists, focusing on ensuring quality and compliance throughout the product development process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, support, and conduct compliance activities within EMC, climate, mechanical, safety, and other electrical tests
• Be the coordinating contact person towards external testing and certification institutes
• Drive and develop the area of compliance and ensure the implementation of new regulatory requirements
• Monitor and follow changes in regulations and standards
• Develop, document, and continuously improve testing processes and procedures

We are looking for someone who

Has experience and interest in certification and hardware testing within electronics and enjoys a role where quality is central. You are used to working independently with type tests and have a structured approach. Experience with industrial products, especially for use in demanding and tough environments, is an advantage.

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and a few years of work experience in a similar role
• Ability to interpret and navigate technical standards and requirements, both from a certification and customer perspective
• Understanding of the EU's CE marking and similar processes
• Basic understanding of electrical safety
• Knowledge in EMC/RF and environmental requirements
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written, as well as basic knowledge of Swedish
• Driving license B

Meritorious

• Several years of experience working with compliance in technical or engineering roles
• Documented experience of taking products through certification processes
• Knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
