We are now recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Control Systems Designer (Electrical Designer) to their headquarters in Västerås.

They are now strengthening their Swedish organization with a senior control systems designer who wants to help develop the future of power plants.
About the Role
As a Senior Control Systems Designer (10–400 kV), you will work with electrical design of control systems for substations and transformer stations. You will take full responsibility for parts of – or the entire – control system and ensure that the technical solution meets contracts, laws, regulations, and applicable standards.
You will work closely with the technical project manager and other specialists regarding overall design, technical choices, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness. The role also involves self-checking of completed work and reviewing colleagues' designs.
You will be involved in tendering work, contribute to the development of technical working methods, and help further develop the use of design tools such as Eplan.
Travel may be required in the position, as well as participation in FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
Examples of Responsibilities
Electrical design for substations 10–400 kV
Preparation of:
Overview diagrams (single line diagrams)
Function and interlocking diagrams
Product and installation circuit diagrams
Production documentation
Installation documentation
Documentation for testing and commissioning
Integration with existing and new control systems
Modernization and upgrading of control systems, for example in hydropower
Review of documentation from partners, suppliers, and subcontractors
Ensure that project timelines are adhered to within agreed frameworks
Support sales during the bidding phase
We are looking for someone who
This is a role for you who has a strong commitment to the power industry and wants to drive technological development forward together with competent colleagues.
At least 5 years of experience in control systems design for transformer/reception stations 10–400 kV
Experience working with control systems in areas such as hydropower or station projects
Experience reading, understanding, and updating existing technical documentation
Experience in modernization and upgrading of control systems
Familiarity with FAT, SAT, and commissioning
Good knowledge of Eplan, Master Concept, E3, or equivalent
Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English
