Job Information

The assignment is part of our staffing services. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for our client. The intention is that you will eventually be able to be directly employed by them, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

Responsibilities
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you will work to develop and ensure the quality of suppliers primarily in engines, gearboxes, and mechanical components. The role is an important link between suppliers, production, and purchasing.

You will be part of an experienced team and collaborate closely with several functions to improve quality, reduce costs, and ensure stable delivery. The role is partly operational, where you sometimes need to be close to production or warehousing to understand deviations in materials. At the same time, the main focus is to drive dialogue with suppliers, ensure quick responses, and follow up on corrective actions.

Travel is included in the position, mainly to suppliers in Europe. The trips are planned in advance and do not happen at short notice.

You can expect about 6–10 travel days per year.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Manage and follow up on supplier deviations from production and customers
• Drive root cause analyses and ensure that corrective actions are implemented
• Review and follow up on 8D reports
• Communicate quality deficiencies to suppliers and demand corrective actions
• Participate in and drive improvement work related to quality and cost
• Contribute to supplier assessments and follow up on KPIs
• Conduct audits at selected suppliers
• Be involved in projects related to production and supply chain

We are looking for someone who
Either has experience in supplier quality or a technical background with knowledge of, for example, gearboxes and gears.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or a similar field
• Knowledge of engines, gearboxes, cabling, and cable systems
• Experience with process audits and ISO 9001 as well as methods such as PPAP, FMEA, and control plans
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Experience with RCA (root cause analysis), 8D, DMAIC, or similar methodologies
• Good collaboration skills, social competence, and communication skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English
