About the organization
The organization is a Swedish high-tech defense and security company that develops advanced systems in aviation, space, defense, and civil security. Here, command systems, radar systems, communication solutions, sensors, advanced software, and technology for both manned and unmanned flight platforms are developed.

About the department
This department develops and delivers advanced command systems to both the Swedish Air Force and international customers. The department consists of a team of 10–12 people with an open and informal culture, a lot of collaboration, and a clear technical focus.
You will be part of a more senior team where the aim is to strengthen the group with an experienced engineer who can contribute directly to the projects and support more junior colleagues. The role does not require a long onboarding – you step in and become productive quickly.

The work is based in Järfälla full-time, as much of the operations are conducted in a red environment. In Q1 2027, the department will move to Solna.

Why are they looking for you?
The organization is growing and needs to strengthen the team with an experienced integration and systems engineer. The focus is on finding a candidate with several years of experience who can drive the work in the early phases of the projects and serve as support for less experienced colleagues.

About the role
In this role, you will work on developing, configuring, integrating, and deploying advanced Linux-based command systems. You will be a central technical competence in the various phases of the projects, with an emphasis on architecture, integration, and communication solutions.

Examples of tasks:

• System design and integration of system components
• Configuration, deployment, and testing
• Troubleshooting within networks, installation, and communication solutions
• Designing security solutions such as hardening, log management, firewalls, and PKI
• Technical analyses and investigations
• Customer contacts, collaborations with users and external suppliers
• Travel may occur, mainly within Sweden

You will work closely with the customer and in an environment where the systems are critical and must function around the clock.

Who are you?
You have a solid technical foundation and are used to working independently. You enjoy customer contact, take responsibility, and have a positive and solution-oriented attitude. You communicate well both technically and interpersonally.
You meet the following requirements:

• University degree in computer engineering, networking, or equivalent competence
• At least 3 years of experience, preferably 6 years or more
• Very good knowledge of Linux
• Good experience with Python and Bash
• Experience with virtualization, automated installations, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of IT security, hardening, log management, and firewalls
• Experience with version control and PKI
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Working methods and introduction
The introduction follows the organization's standard with equipment, guidance, and clear frameworks. You will work on-site in Järfälla 100%.
