About the workplace

Fridhem special housing is located in Surte in southern Ale.

At Fridhem, there are 30 apartments distributed over three units. One of the units is somatic and two units are focused on dementia. As an employee at Fridhem, you will work in all units but have a "home unit".

We are looking for you who want to help develop elderly care and enjoy challenges. With us, you and your colleagues will support the elderly so they can live as independently as possible.

Job responsibilities

As a care staff member in Ale municipality, you will work with care and support according to applicable legislation, guidelines, and frameworks. We meet people with different needs and varying conditions, which places high demands on you as a care staff member. Your working method should be based on a salutogenic and person-centered approach.

This means that you have a working method where you focus on the person you meet. You need to be attentive and show respect for self-determination and personal integrity. You support the care recipient based on their individual needs and wishes. You need to have the will and commitment to work with elderly people and to collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and enjoyable everyday life for those living at Fridhem. We work with contact person responsibility. Being a contact person means being responsible for coordinating efforts to provide individually tailored care and support.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a nursing assistant education.

You need to have good care skills. The work also includes performing delegated tasks from home healthcare and documenting these according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and documentation according to the Social Services Act.

Experience working in special housing is an advantage.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both written and spoken. Other language skills are an advantage, as we have care recipients with other native languages.

You will be part of a team where your ability to collaborate is as important as working independently. We are looking for you who have a good attitude and approach. You have the ability to create security and calm even in stressful situations.

You have a holistic view and understand how your approach creates security and is important for those in need of your support.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Working hours according to schedule, day, evening, and working every other weekend. As an employee in Ale, you are employed full-time but have the right to work part-time.

When offered employment, you must be able to present an extract from the police criminal record.
