Description

The well-being hosts cater to tenants living in the Norrskenet Assisted Living Facility.

Your main tasks are to promote social interaction in the assisted living facility and to be a key person who creates relationships. You may assist with practical tasks such as contacting caretakers or filling out forms. As a well-being host, you are responsible for contact with external organizations regarding activities and assisting with these activities. It also includes organizing activities, communal coffee breaks, and lectures yourself.

The welfare advisor should serve as a contact for those who need some form of support in daily life, but at an earlier stage than contact with the assistance assessor for home care services. You as a welfare advisor can schedule meetings with those in need at home, in the inspiration apartment, or at another suitable location. Together, you will review daily life and based on the individual's situation, provide advice and information about what support is available, as well as how the individual can remain independent.

Responsibilities

The position should ensure that the following tasks are performed:

• Assist with activities from the Red Cross, ABF, Adult Education, etc.
• Advertise upcoming activities and prepare refreshments for activities.
• Assist with practical tasks, e.g., when contacting the health clinic, caretakers, etc.
• Be helpful in filling out forms if needed.
• A contact for earlier support in daily life, before the assistance assessor and home care.
• Conduct mapping and informative conversations with citizens, relatives, or other representatives.
• Promote well-being and independence through information, advice, and support.
• Work more proactively and coordinated by assisting with contacts with other authorities, health and medical organizations, and other departments within the municipality.
• Focus on finding other solutions than municipal interventions through, for example, private solutions, civil society, etc.
• Focus on self-care together with civil society and community life.

Other tasks may occur, and the responsibilities may change and vary over time.

Qualifications

You enjoy working with people. As a person, you are engaged and a good listener with an empathetic ability. You have good communication skills and can build trusting relationships. You see the whole picture and thrive in an environment that places high demands on responsibility, flexibility, decisiveness, and a high level of service. You have an interest/experience in working with digital support tools within social services and the ability to teach how welfare technology works in a pedagogical way.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and experience from other areas within the Social Services Act is meritorious, as well as experience in promoting independence. Since Dorotea Municipality is a Sámi administrative area, we see it as meritorious if you have good knowledge of the South Sámi culture and South Sámi as a language.

A B driver's license is required for the position, as visits are an important part of the role.

Conditions

Dorotea Municipality offers 1 hour of wellness per week.

The position with an employment rate of 80% is a temporary employment with a possibility of extension.
