Your Workplace

The Women's Health Care department is a facility where we, together with our colleagues, offer both outpatient and inpatient care in obstetrics and gynecology. At Värmland's only maternity ward, about 2300 babies are born each year, and all births from week 28+0 are handled here.

At the maternity ward, families are welcomed where the new mother or child needs inpatient care. Our goal is zero separation of the family, and we have a close collaboration with the neonatal department to enable care for both mother and child together. The maternity ward also cares for pregnant women with medical complications.

Your Responsibilities

At the maternity ward, we offer you a stimulating and varied environment. Together with your team, you will make a difference for our patients and families. Breastfeeding and support in parenthood are central parts of our operations.

If you are a midwife with delivery experience, working hours can be divided between the maternity ward and delivery.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife or nurse. We wish that you are flexible and have the ability to work independently in a structured manner. You have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards both colleagues and patients. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, especially the ability to cooperate, good communication, and a willingness to develop.
