Your workplace

Stability, development, and satisfied patients characterize Folktandvården Arvika-Åmotfors, which is Värmland's largest public dental clinic. The clinic consists of two units in the towns of Arvika and Åmotfors. Together, we are 49 employees, including nine dentists.

Here, several specialized colleagues work in endodontics, surgery, and nitrous oxide. In Arvika, we have an orthodontic clinic and panoramic X-ray on the same floor. We also have close access to specialists in the rest of the organization. In the northern part of the municipality, we also utilize a newly built dental room adjacent to SÄBO and the primary school in Charlottenberg, as well as a school clinic in Koppom.

We work according to the 7–7 work model, which means you work morning or afternoon shifts. Each shift consists of 6 hours of clinical time (patient time) and 2 hours of administrative time.

Our patients are of all ages, 10,100 adults, 7,000 children and young people (total across all units). At Folktandvården in Arvika and Åmotfors, we take pride in our community, where we together create safe and quality care for our patients while also maintaining a good working environment for our employees.

We have a flat organization in Värmland where we work in teams and closely with our specialists. As a new dentist, you will have a mentor throughout your first year to help you transition into your professional role safely. Folktandvården Värmland also offers a comprehensive two-year introduction program.

Your tasks

We are looking for you, a dentist within your profession, who enjoys working with team dentistry and treating your own patients, both children and adults. You will work collaboratively with examinations alongside a dental hygienist and nurse. If interested, there is also the possibility for an expanded division of labor. With us, there are good opportunities to work variably within the entire scope of the dentist's competence, from fillings and simpler orthodontics to larger prosthetics and surgery. If you would like to specialize in a specific area and act as a local referral instance, that is also something we at Folktandvården Värmland view positively.

Your knowledge and skills

You have a dental degree and EU certification is a requirement. You work confidently in a team, have a service-oriented approach, and are quality-conscious in your clinical work.

Folktandvården Värmland is part of Region Värmland and has 17 general dental clinics, distributed across 24 different units – from Sysslebäck in the north to Säffle in the southwest. Additionally, there are clinics in all specialist areas that treat patients on referral. We are a forward-thinking organization with a focus on quality and competence. Approximately 560 people work with us, together having a long and broad experience in working towards better dental and oral health.
