About the Workplace

Vårdcentralen Åttkanten is located in Haga, centrally in Karlstad.

We are part of Vårdval Värmland since its inception in 2010. Here, seven general practitioners and three ST doctors work. The health center has its own child health care (BVC) and maternity care (MVC), as well as responsibility for medical staffing at two nearby nursing homes, so you will get all the components needed for your specialist training.

We are a training health center, educating future doctors, nurses, and district nurses. The health center has received high ratings from patients in the National Patient Survey in recent years, and our employees rank us highly as an employer in employee surveys.

Job Responsibilities

Standard tasks for ST doctors in general medicine, handling patients with chronic diseases, investigations, and emergency cases, based on capacity and experience level. You will, of course, have a fixed supervisor and good access to guidance also in daily work. The health center is well-structured and has clear routines.

The ST position follows the Region Värmland ST program, and courses and side training are planned in consultation with the ST study director in Region Värmland.

Qualifications

Licensed physician with an interest in general medicine.
