Your Workplace

With us, various professionals work together, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff. We are a well-functioning DBT team with all components of DBT in place. We offer individual therapy, group skills training, and telephone consultations around the clock. In addition to therapy work, we also have a well-functioning program for vocational rehabilitation and good psychiatric medical care. The group continuously works to improve as a team and to support each other in becoming better therapists.

The Emotionally Unstable Reception is one of the subspecialized psychiatric outpatient clinics that has remained after the reorganization of psychiatry in Värmland. We strive for all our therapists to have training in DBT, as well as other relevant training.

Your Responsibilities

As a psychologist in the DBT team, you will primarily work with individual therapy, group skills training, and telephone consultations. If necessary, you will conduct other psychiatric treatments and assessments. The unit also has a consultative role regarding emotional instability and offers training, supervision, and other consultative services as needed.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone with a degree as a licensed psychologist. You have experience working in psychiatric care. Experience working in a DBT team and with individuals with emotional instability and/or self-harming behavior is an advantage. Since some work with the patient group involves trauma-focused treatments, experience in this area is also beneficial.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to have a good ability to work independently while being collaborative and contributing to the team's development. You are proactive, have an empathetic ability in your interactions with patients and colleagues, and work in a structured manner even in complex situations.
