Clinical physiology is a unit within Imaging and Functional Diagnostics together with radiology and mammography.

The unit provides Region Värmland with examinations in clinical physiology.

We have about 32 employees, including four specialists and five resident doctors with varying time left in their training. A cardiologist works with us part-time, and BMA is divided into five different teams: echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, general physiology, neurophysiology, and nuclear medicine. Several BMA are responsible for reporting in echocardiography, general physiology, and vascular ultrasound.

In cardiac imaging, which is a large part of the operation, we have, in addition to echocardiography and heart scintigraphy, also MRI heart and CT heart/coronary vessels within imaging and function. In a few years, we plan to start PET/CT with FDG.

We are certified according to ISO 9001:2015.

Your Responsibilities

As a resident doctor with us, you will perform medical work during training according to the established training plan for resident doctors in clinical physiology.

Your tasks include continuously supervising resident doctors/BMA in training. You will not have on-call duties.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a licensed physician who is interested in diagnostics, medical image analysis, and technology.

We work closely together in teams and therefore value good collaboration skills. You are a person with high flexibility, good ability to handle stress, and a responsive attitude. A genuine interest in development work is also important. Personal suitability is highly valued.
