Staffing Pool in Elderly Care – Temporary Position until December 31, 2026

Are you looking for a job where no two days are the same? Now you have the chance to become part of the Competence Center's staffing pool and work on a temporary basis until December 31, 2026!

We are looking for an engaged colleague who wants to work full-time in the staffing pool, starting as soon as possible. You will primarily work within elderly care, which includes home care, secure housing, and nursing homes.

The staffing pool at the Competence Center is Karlstad Municipality's internal staffing unit within the Health and Social Care Administration. We replace regular staff during absences in elderly care and disability support services throughout the municipality.

In our operations, you are a support for the care recipients and contribute to a safe and meaningful daily life. As a member of the staffing pool, you work at various workplaces in Karlstad, which means you need to be flexible, able to adapt on short notice, and quickly reach the day's workplace. The staffing pool has no fixed physical workplace, but the team meets regularly for joint meetings.

Responsibilities

As a member of the staffing pool, you work based on the individual needs of the care recipient. You contribute to safety, participation, and a meaningful daily life by providing support with personal care and daily activities, as well as performing medical and rehabilitative tasks delegated by licensed personnel. The work involves documenting according to the Social Services Act (SOL) and using digital systems. If needed, you may assist with administrative tasks, such as booking temporary staff.

You will work both independently and together with colleagues. Working hours vary between day, evening, every other weekend, and within disability support, night shifts may occasionally occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated assistant nurse or has another relevant education that the employer deems equivalent. The role requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as digital proficiency. You must have a B driver's license and access to a car to travel around the municipality. We also appreciate good cycling skills.
