We at the dialysis unit at Torsby Hospital are now looking for a dedicated nurse who wants to become our new colleague. Here you will work in a small, tight-knit team with a beautiful view of Lake Fryken.
Your workplace
The dialysis unit is located at Torsby Hospital with a view of Lake Fryken and is a branch of Karlstad. The operation belongs to Karlstad Inpatient Care. Here you will meet patients daily who are in need of kidney replacement therapy, so-called hemodialysis.
We are a small group of employees who all work in teams to jointly meet the individual patient's needs during dialysis treatment. The unit has a total of 10 care beds, and working hours are daytime Monday to Saturday.
We conduct planned operations, but occasionally perform acute dialysis treatments on our patients if the need arises. We always work together and based on the individual patient's needs.
The position is a temporary assignment until 2027-08-31, with the possibility of extension.
Your tasks
As a nurse with us, you will, together with your colleagues, take care of patients with kidney disease before, during, and after a dialysis treatment. The nurse leads and is responsible for the dialysis treatments.
During your work, you will handle technical equipment, so it is beneficial if you have an interest in technology. You will be individually trained for approximately 10 weeks.
Your knowledge and competencies
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We welcome both you who are newly graduated and you who have documented experience.
You take responsibility for your work and work independently and organized. For us, it is important that you take initiative, can adapt to changed circumstances, and keep the entire operation in mind when making decisions and taking action. You have good collaboration skills and a professional approach towards both patients, relatives, and colleagues.
